The Midas touch in the music industry would be The Neptunes; they are record production duo with Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo in the Star Track record label. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Neptunes) They have produced so many hits with Gwen Stefini, Snoop Dogg, Britney Spears, and Jay-Z. They are the top artists in the hip hop industry right NOW. They are known for making catch funky sounds with help of using exotic percussions and space sound effects. They also have alternative- hip hop band called N*E*R*D with Shay Haley. “She wants to move” is the track I really like because I like how funky drum beats and bass sounds make your body move. I also like piano melody with guitar riffs in between every verse, and yelling out “Hey” and clapping make this song much easier for audience to follow along with it. Pharrell Williams is singer in this band and I like how he puts his emotion behind it either soft-whisper-to-your-ear tone or party up voice tone. Another song would be “Maybe.” This track makes Pharrell Williams stand out because this is love song there needs to be soft tone voice but passionate as well. I like how piano sounds like as if it’s banging effortless but goes with guitar riffs. There is a part in the end of the song where Pharrell says “Hold It Now” then it has that rewind sound effect with keyboard playing.
